About Civo​

Civo is a cloud native service provider offering fast, simple, and affordable Kubernetes-native cloud infrastructure. The company is known for its developer-friendly approach and strong ties to the cloud native community.

The Acquisition​

In March 2024, Civo acquired Kubefirst, bringing the open source platform and its team into the Civo family. This acquisition aligned with Civo's mission to make Kubernetes more accessible and provided Kubefirst with resources to accelerate development.

The acquisition was led by Mark Boost, CEO of Civo, who shared the vision of democratizing cloud native technologies.

Role & Responsibilities​

As Director of Enterprise Cloud Solutions, I work on:

  • Enterprise cloud strategy and adoption
  • Platform engineering solutions for large organizations
  • Integration between Kubefirst/Konstruct products and Civo infrastructure
  • Advancing Civo's position in the cloud native ecosystem

Civo + Konstruct​

While Konstruct operates as a distinct entity, the relationship with Civo provides:

  • Infrastructure resources for development and testing
  • Cloud platform integration opportunities
  • Access to Civo's enterprise customer base
  • Collaboration with Civo's engineering teams

Civo Navigate Conference​

Civo Navigate is an annual cloud native conference where I've presented multiple times:

  • Navigate 2025: "One-Command OSS Platform: Building Your Cloud Native Playground" and "Software is Soccer"
  • Navigate Europe 2024: "GitOps for Hybrid Clouds" and "Building a Local OSS Platform Playground"
  • Navigate 2023: Platform engineering and GitOps presentations

Board Updates​

The parent organization that includes both Civo and Konstruct recently welcomed Kelsey Hightower to its board, signaling strong commitment to the cloud native community.
